Shinji Japanese has opened at the base of the West Tower at Bay Adelaide Centre, and our team was proud to bring this build to life. Executing that vision meant transforming an existing ramp into the dining room from passive circulation into a defining architectural moment, enclosing it in dark-stained wood and acoustic paneling. The design concept, developed by Odami Studio, draws on denim as its guiding metaphor: rugged yet refined, humble yet elevated. A modern Japanese steakhouse, called for a reimagining that honored both craft and atmosphere, a room where design and cuisine speak the same language. From structural changes to the finest material details, we're honored to have helped turn Shinji's concept into a fully realized space in Toronto's Financial District.
